So much to do....

Okay, so I have so much to do, tomorrow is going to be crazy busy! I finally cleared up my youtube channel like I mentioned before. I also finally put in 2 different applications for Olive Garden, I applied to be a hostess and a server/waitress. I also cleared out my coupon box, which I have neglected to do for a few weeks now, luckily it wasn't too much of a mess. Anyway, on to my to do list for Sunday December 18!

  • Film a YouTube video-Holly Jolly tag?
  • Start packing books into the boxes, clear out some old books
  • Finish printing the remainder of the 52 organizing missions that I want to keep on hand
  • Start making my house maintenance binder (Brian and I found an apartment!)
  • Start on some of the organizing missions
  • Brian's Work Christmas Party
  • Clear out my closet
  • Clean off dining room table of my wedding stuff
  • Design my flowergirl baskets :)
  • Design the card box for the wedding
As you can tell, that is a lot of stuff planned for tomorrow! I also need to start planning for after christmas shopping since my mother and I will be buying christmas lights and decor to use at the wedding. By the way, I AM GETTING MARRIED IN 2 WEEKS!! :) It makes me smile lol. Anyway, I need to get some sleep now,  goodnight all!

Starting New :)

Even though it has been a crazy day, I have finally cleared up my youtube channel. I set all of my old videos to private so that they are still there for me, but I am going to start posting new videos soon! I have been blogging up a storm the past few days thanks to the blogger app on my iphone! I cleared up an old blog of mine that I was not planning on using anymore and put those posts on my other blog so I now have 3 blogs that I manage instead of 4.
They are opening up a new Olive Garden in my town, I will be applying to work there tomorrow morning. I also ordered some stuff for the wedding. I still have so much to do with only 18 days left. It will be beautiful though. I pretty much finished Christmas decorating today, I only need to find an extension cord for the outside lights and pack the unused stuff back up and I will be fine and dandy!

Plans postponed

Okay so I ended up doing some Christmas decorating instead of the changes to my YouTube channel like I had hoped. That is ok though I will work on that tomorrow or maybe I will do some of it later tonight. Right now I am chilling on the couch with my amazing fiancé and watching robots!! It is such a cute little movie. :)

Update: Okay, so my wonderful fiancé will be out and about tomorrow. That means that I will be able to do all of the updates to my channel that I want to do. It will also give me time to finish decorating as well as do a little shopping and clear out my coupon box. If I have time I can also start packing some stuff away for our move in the next few weeks. Grades are also released tomorrow which is good. :)

Changes

Ok guys I am going to be changing up my YouTube channel tomorrow. I will be switching all of the current videos to private since noone seems to care about them. I am going to approach my channel from a few different angles and see which ones you guys like most!! I am going to be posting a wide variety of music videos, celebrity dirt videos and other things. If you want, let me know what you want to see! I am always open to suggestions. Thanks guys! -Melissa

Couponing 101

Hey guys, I posted a video today on couponing and this is the blog post for you if you want more info!!
As most of you know, the TLC show 'Extreme Couponing' has really become quite popular (for reasons I will never know, I have never watched a full episode). This has really jump started the number of couponers in the last year or so. While the shows couponing trips are slightly unrealistic, it is still possible to get cheap and free things using coupons (even if you don't live in the land of coupon doubling). The key to getting cheap items is using your coupons when good sales are going on.

For Example: Garnier Fructis shampoo is normally $2.99 a bottle for the small 12 oz bottles at lets say Target. Target is holding a special for 2/$5 on their Garnier Fructis shampoo (you already saved your first dollar there). You could take 2 of your $1/1 Garnier Shampoo/Conditioner/Styler Coupons and get an additional dollar off EACH of your bottles of shampoo. This brings your total for the shampoo to $3 plus tax. This makes each bottle only $1.50 which is half of the original price! Paying $3 for 2 bottles of shampoo is better than paying $5.98 for 2 bottles right? Exactly!

Where to get coupons:
There are many different places to get coupons. There are printable coupons you can get from coupons.com, redplum.com, smartsource.com or even manufacturer's websites! If you do not want to waste that kind of ink and computer paper, you can always purchase your local Sunday Newspaper and look for the Red Plum and Smartsource Inserts! These usually have a good amount of coupons in them. There are also other inserts that are included at random times throughout the year or monthly like the P&G Brandsaver insert at the beginning of each month! If you aren't happy with your local paper's coupon selection, you can always order inserts from insert services like www.insertinsanity.com or get individual coupons from clipping services or ebay. I personally have been using Insert Insanity and have yet to be disappointed.

Stockpiling:
The key to saving the most on your grocery bill is stockpiling. This means to purchase multiples of an item at a discounted price so that you do not have to run out and buy it at full price when you run out. You should have a designated space for your stockpile to be housed. You can use under the bathroom cabinets, a garage, a spare closet or really any space you have available.
Sorry you can't see this very well, this is kinda the overflow of my personal stockpile of shampoo, razors, tampons and other toiletry items I had to start putting in my bathroom. The rest is currently housed in a dresser drawer at my parents house while my fiance and I look for our own home.

Anyway, if you have any couponing questions you are more than welcome to ask! I will answer the question as best I can or find the answer for you!

Filming!!

I am busy as a bee editing and filming a couple different videos right now....well, I am actually doing my hair/makeup so I don't look like a total mess in them but they are definitely coming up! I think a lot of people will really be interested in them because I am covering a few different things in each of the videos so there is definitely a good variety of topics being discussed I think :) So, I guess it's time to get back to that and update my twitter and I have a few things to check out on facebook. So TTYL!

Sugar Lip Scrub

Okay guys, this summer heat and all of the salt water I have been in lately has really dried out my lips and skin. I found this really basic sugar scrub online and have been using it and so far so good! I can feel the difference in my lip texture; it is awesome! I thought I would post it for you to try out for yourselves!

Mix a small amount of coarse sugar with a few drops of water.
Apply the mixture onto lips and gently rub it in. Wash with lukewarm water and apply olive oil or vaseline to moisturize them.

You could easily take a small cosmetics jar that you use for samples and other things from coastal scents and make a small batch of it to use over a longer period of time. Afterwards I have been using my moisturizing chapstick and it really feels great. For my skin, I have been using Suave Cocoa Butter with Shea Body Lotion. I love it. You get a nice big bottle for only a few dollars and it smells almost chocolatey and is really creamy. It is perfect to hydrate your skin as well as diminish the appearance of stretch marks!
I hope you guys like this scrub. Like I said it is so basic it is almost common sense! Bye!

Videos!

I've shot quite a few videos lately. Some need to be edited and others need to be uploaded, but I can't find the cord for my external hard drive! I store everything on there to protect it from being messed up and now I am useless! I will be at it once again hopefully once I clean up a little. Until next time guys!

New Videos!

Hey everyone! So, I just filmed 2 new videos for you all and am in the process of editing them now. I know it has taken me a while but I am posting episode 2 of my travel series as well as working on episode 3. Episode three is really going to be mainly pictures and captions of things while I was there. Anyway, the 2 other videos I am working on are a haul video of makeup/nail stuff I have acquired over the past 2 weeks at Walmart and Target. I have a lot of really great products to show you that were really affordable. The last video is a "how to clean your brushes" video. I cannot stress enough the importance of cleaning your makeup brushes to clean off old makeup and bacteria. Anyway, as you can tell I am slam packed with videos right now! I will be getting those up VERY soon and I hope everyone chekcs them out! bye!

Travel Series Video One

Hey guys! I just wanted everyone to know that I finally decided to edit the footage for the first episode in my travel series on youtube! Of course I ended up breaking this down a lot more than I had originally planned. Episode one is titled 3-1-1 Baggy. Yes As boring as that may sound, it is very important when flying especially with only carry-on luggage. I hope you watch and subscribe! It would mean the world to me and say tuned for more videos and updates! They will be coming soon!

New York Trip

Hey guys, I just thought I'd let you know that I am headed to New York City for a fabulous 5 day trip on May 27. However, this trip isn't all pleasure. I am going to be performing with a large choir the Gabriel Faure Requiem at Lincoln Center. I am flying Delta out of Orlando on Friday, the 27th around noon. I will be arriving at LaGuardia airport just before 3PM. While I'm there I will be touring the city and of course SHOPPING among my rehearsals and group dinners. We will be eating at Bricco's Restaurant, Hard Rock Cafe, and Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. That will definitely be 3 very delicious meals!

There will be tons of shopping time, mainly in the evening. I have some stores picked out already that are musts, such as H&M, Macy's, Sephora, and Lush. When I arrive back home I should be posting a New York City Haul as well as a vlog of my travels in the airport and around the city. It is gonna be really fun and I'm really excited for this trip and to share this beautiful city with those of you who may have never visited the city before or haven't been to certain parts of it! Keep checking back for these videos and more blogs.
